Our Story:

Huckleberry Landscape Design was started in 2004 when the founder, Anne Kulla, graduated from the Horticulture program at Kwantlen (then) College. Anne spent the early days doing garden maintenance and small installation projects on a part time basis while the kids were in school.

In 2006, Huckleberry Landscape Design joined the BC Landscape and Nursery Association. Anne took on several roles within the organization including:

  • Volunteering with the Landscape Advisory Committee, Landscape Chairperson for 4 years as part of the board of directors.
  • In 2007, Anne qualified for and received her ISA Arborist designation and began offering Arborist consulting services to homeowners and builders.
  • 2008 saw Huckleberry Landscape Design become a full-time operation, expanding the service area throughout the Surrey / Delta / Langley area and the requirement for hiring Anne’s first staff member. Over the next decade, Huckleberry continued to grow through word of mouth by delivering excellent service, a wealth of knowledge, and first-rate reliability to every client.
  • In 2017, one of Anne’s sons, Victor, joined the company making Huckleberry a truly family operated business. While we still specialize in the ‘smaller’ residential projects, we can deliver larger scale projects with our excellent service and reliability.

I have been wanting to tell you how much I appreciated your and Paris’ work in my garden. I thought you were not only helpful and thorough, but very sensitive to my special needs! After you left, my first thought was: now that she has “blown” the patio clean, I will have to wash the bird bath and refill it . Guess what, it had been done! Even the other one was filled right up with clean water. I can’t thank you enough. Please let Paris know.
